Jetstar Launches New Direct Flights Connecting the Philippines and Australia

In a significant expansion of its Asia-Pacific network, Australian low-cost carrier Jetstar Airways has announced the launch of two new direct flight routes connecting the Philippines to Australia. Starting November 27, 2025, Jetstar will commence thrice-weekly direct flights from Manila to Perth. This will be followed by the introduction of direct flights from Cebu to Brisbane on December 3, 2025, also operating three times a week.

The new services are expected to add over 108,000 seats annually between the two countries, enhancing travel options for both leisure and business travelers . Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully stated, “We’re proud to be connecting more Australians with the Philippines, and just as importantly opening up new opportunities for Filipinos to travel, reunite with family, and grow tourism and trade.

These routes will be serviced by Jetstar’s fleet of Airbus A321LR aircraft, known for their fuel efficiency and extended range capabilities . The expansion aligns with Jetstar’s strategy to redeploy wide-body aircraft for long-haul services and invest in new-generation aircraft to meet growing demand.

The introduction of these direct flights marks a milestone in strengthening the ties between the Philippines and Australia, offering more convenient travel options and fostering economic and cultural exchange between the two nations.
