NUSTAR Resort & Casino Cebu has unveiled “Rhythms of Wellness,” a month-long celebration this September 2025 that puts the spotlight on holistic well-being, lifestyle, and sports tourism. The initiative underscores NUSTAR’s vision to become not just a premier entertainment and leisure destination, but also a hub for wellness and community-driven activities in Cebu.
According to NUSTAR Chief Operating Officer Sean Knights, the campaign’s theme highlights how wellness manifests in different ways depending on one’s needs. “Some days call for stride and energy, others for stillness and reflection, and others for strength and perseverance,” he explained. “Each weekend in September highlights a different rhythm, giving guests the chance to explore activities that match their own pace and path to well-being.”
The series of activities kicks off on September 7, 2025, with the official launch of the NUSTAR Run Club. Designed to encourage fitness and camaraderie, the run will feature scenic coastal routes within and around the resort. Participants can look forward to a post-run gathering over coffee and music at the Lighthouse, creating both a fitness and social experience. As the inaugural offering, the Run Club sets the tempo for active lifestyles within NUSTAR’s growing community.
The following weekend, from September 12 to 14, 2025, the program shifts from physical exertion to mindfulness with NUSTAR Serenity in Motion. Organized in partnership with Dawata Wellness, one of Cebu’s most respected yoga and wellness groups, this three-day retreat is devoted to mental clarity and inner balance.
Guests will be guided through holistic practices such as tea rituals, meditation circles, sunrise yoga, sound baths, group healing workshops, and even ocean breathwork paired with an invigorating ice bath. Early bird registration runs until August 15 at ₱1,750 per day, while regular rates range from ₱2,000 to ₱2,500 per day, with a bundled ₱5,000 package for the full retreat. The program demonstrates NUSTAR’s commitment to wellness that extends beyond physical activity, embracing practices that nurture the mind and spirit.
Capping the celebration is the NUSTAR Dragon Boat Regatta 2025 on September 20–21. Staged along the picturesque NUSTAR Boardwalk, the regatta is organized in collaboration with the Philippine Accessible Disability Services, Inc. (PADS) Foundation. The event will showcase teamwork and endurance as paddlers compete in 200-meter races across various categories. Open to participants of all levels, the registration fee is set at ₱2,500 per person.
The regatta not only highlights Cebu’s vibrant watersports culture but also positions NUSTAR as an advocate for inclusivity and sports tourism in the province.
For NUSTAR Assistant Vice President for Business Development Katrina Mae de Jesus, the campaign is about inclusivity and choice. “Wellness means something different for everyone and that’s why we created Rhythms of Wellness,” she said. “It’s about offering options—from active pursuits to quiet retreats—so guests can engage in the way that suits them best. As a premier destination, we strive to innovate ethically, engage our communities meaningfully, and design events that not only entertain, but endure.”
With its world-class facilities and strong local partnerships, NUSTAR hopes to set a new benchmark for wellness-centered programming in Cebu. This September, the resort invites the public to discover their own rhythm, whether it’s stride, stillness, or strength.
Food is also part of the wellness journey. Chef Alvin Antonio, Banquet Operations Chef of NUSTAR, emphasized how carefully curated dining options complement the month’s activities.
“Let’s enjoy, experience, and celebrate the Rhythm of Wellness at NUSTAR,” Chef Antonio said. “Guests will be able to try our curated dishes and drinks. During the Rhythm of Stillness Yoga on September 12, 13, and 14, participants can enjoy healthy meals and refreshments at the Food Garden.”
Chef Antonio also highlighted promotions available throughout the celebration. “For this month of September, during all the Rhythms of Wellness activities, participants can avail of our food and beverage promos. We have a Sunday brunch at Fili Café with a 5+1 offer at ₱3,300 per head, making it a perfect way to cap off a weekend of wellness.”
By integrating fitness, mindfulness, community, and cuisine, NUSTAR aims to deliver a holistic experience that nurtures every aspect of well-being.
