James Arthur Wellington, Princess Kelly Adlaon Crowned Mr. and Ms. High School 2025 in Minglanilla

MINGLANILLA, CEBU — The spotlight shone bright at the Minglanilla Sports Complex on Wednesday, August 20, as the Coronation Night of Mr. and Ms. High School Minglanilla 2025 became one of the highlights of the town’s 168th fiesta celebration.

Seventeen pairs representing different high schools in Minglanilla competed in a pageant that mirrored the glitz and grandeur of national competitions, drawing loud cheers and unwavering support from their classmates, teachers, and families.

“It’s amazing to witness the support of the students, the schools of their candidates,” said Minglanilla Mayor Rajiv Enad, who praised the unity and school spirit that the event fostered among the youth.

After a night filled with dazzling performances, impressive displays of talent, and inspiring answers during the question-and-answer portion, two students emerged as the winners of the highly anticipated titles.

Crowned as Mr. High School Minglanilla 2025 was James Arthur Wellington of Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy (IHMA). Meanwhile, the title of Ms. High School Minglanilla 2025 was awarded to Princess Kelly Adlaon of Minglanilla Science High School (MSHS).

Both winners received thunderous applause as they proudly represented their schools, carrying the honor of being this year’s ambassadors of youth, talent, and excellence.

The runners-up were as follows:

• 1st Runner-up: Neb Velez (MSHS) and Micah Shanelle Ortega (Tulay National High School)

• 2nd Runner-up: Andreas John Hofer (Minglanilla Astrodome Science Institute/MASCI) and Princess Shine Ubas (Saint Cecilia’s College)

• 3rd Runner-up: Mark Hans Mabala (University of the Visayas Minglanilla Campus/UVMC) and Rhea Angeles Calbang (IHMA)

• 4th Runner-up: John Clark Alcoreba (Camp 7 National High School) and Chezra Plaza (Tungkop National High School)

The event highlighted not only beauty and confidence but also the talents, intelligence, and values of Minglanilla’s young leaders. It was a celebration of youth empowerment, with each candidate symbolizing the bright future of the town.

As the night concluded, cheers echoed across the sports complex, and the fiesta atmosphere carried on, marking yet another successful celebration of Minglanilla’s annual tradition.
