The criminal complaint, filed under Section 4(B) of the Cybercrime Prevention Act combined with unjust vexation charges, was filed following the release of a misleading clip that distorted the group’s intentions and expressions.

Joji Alonso—the group’s legal counsel—explained that the original footage, a 25-minute video titled “BINI Tries & Rates Filipino Snacks!” posted on the YouTube channel People Vs Food on July 8, 2025, captured the members enjoying local delicacies like kwek-kwek, isaw, balut, betamax, and more.

However, a two-minute version was maliciously cut to highlight only negative reactions from the members, drastically altering the video’s original tone and context. “This fueled online hate and bashing,” Atty. Alonso stated, describing the emotional harm the altered content caused through name-calling, grave insults, and irreparable distress.
